Happy New Year to all of you from all of us at Mirribandi!!!!

Mirribandi & Helene at Lumineux Kennels are delighted to announce the safe arrival of our latest import from the UK – Lebeau Forever Young (Imp UK), also known as Dylan.  Dylan is a very promising youngster, with loads of character and attitude.  We adore him!  We thank Sandra Smith of Lebeau Belgians, UK, for entrusting us with this handsome and darling youngster, and we also thank the many and varied people who made it all possible.  We look forward to watching Dylan grow and mature, and to make his mark on Australia.

Clear Eye Test for Ch Xanova Zadora HIC HT (Imp UK)

We have a new addition at Mirribandi – a Burmese cat called Bronte.  Bronte now has her photo up on our recently updated Farm Page.

We have now been in our house for 6 months.  We moved in the evening before being descended on by our interstate guests for the Qld Specialty Show in June.  It was a mad rush to be in the house on time – but we made it!  Since then, we have been finishing off bits and pieces around the house, and days before Christmas we finally got around to hanging all our prints and pictures on the walls.  It looks like a home now!  We had the family over for Christmas lunch – which went off well, despite a few hiccups early in the preparations.  We have updated some photos on the House Page for you to see – but our camera really does not do the house justice……  Visitors are most welcome!

Our Warmblood mare, Mon Ling, gave birth to a gorgeous filly foal – Mirribandi Bling Bling.  A very special and precious girl!

Lou Lou’s colt foal was born the same day, but was still born, and never even drew breath.  This would have been our first Shire foal at Mirribandi…..  One has to wonder how much an impact the Horse Flu had on the outcome of Lou Lou’s foal……  It had been almost a month since the mares had gotten over the Equine Influenza when the foals were born.   Many tears were shed over the loss of Lou Lou’s foal.
