Hello,
and welcome to my Website.
This
is what I look like. Can't do much about it, I'm afraid, but I like
to think the grey hair makes me look distinguished. My own children
say it just makes me look old.
I love
writing books for kids and teenagers. Thirty of them so far, and
counting. This site tells you a bit about them and about me, too.
Although
I was christened, James, my friends and family call me Jim, so I
hope you'll do the same.

My books
are available in many countries these days, not just Australia where I
live. I know that teachers everywhere sometimes spoil the fun of reading
by making you research the author and stuff like that. So I've created
this Website to help you out.
For teachers
and parents, I have posted sections from my book, Boys and
Books, including some helpful lists so that you can get those reluctant
boys reading. There are also teachers’ notes and
email contacts for the agents who book me into schools.
You can even
email me yourself if you like to let me know what you think of my stories,
but if you have a lot of questions for those assignments I'd like you
to look through the FAQ sections first
